- 2nd Epistle to the Corinthians 11.31–12.9 (Epistle)
- Gospel according to St. Luke 6.31–36 (Gospel)

Like a fragrant rose growing among thorns, / you were revealed to the Church by your virtuous deeds / becoming a source of joy for the faithful. / You offered your life as a sweet-smelling fragrance / to Him who made you wondrous. / Entreat Him to deliver us from every passion of soul and body, / O righteous Pelagia.
Coffee Hour Cornhole Tournament
Fancy a friendly game of cornhole during coffee hour? Grab a partner and join us for a small tournament beginning
Sunday, 11 October 2026. The games will continue on
25 October and
8 November, alternating with choir practice, and a prize will be awarded at the end!
Each Sunday, teams will play one or two short games against different opponents. A win earns 2 points and a loss earns 1, so just showing up counts! Points add up across all three Sundays, and the top team after 8 November takes the prize. Missing a Sunday won't knock you out of the running; it only means fewer points.
Sunday Choir Practice
Choir practice will take place after coffee hour in two weeks, on
Sunday, 18 October 2026. Practice continues every other Sunday, so there will be no practice this coming Sunday, 11 October.
Sisterhood Gathering
Please come enjoy an afternoon of tea, craft, and conversation with the Sisterhood on
Saturday, 24 October 2026, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. The meetup will be hosted at the church. We will be making vyshyvanka-inspired bookmarks (vyshyvanka is Ukrainian embroidery) using ink markers. All supplies will be provided; please bring a $10 donation to cover the cost of materials. BYOTC (bring your own teacup!) Contact Tracey H. at 443-617-1378 if you have any questions.

Registration is $25 for either option, and students attend free. Please see the flyer below. If you're interested in going or carpooling, please comment on Flocknote.
Capital Investment Drive: Sidewalk, Ramp, and Porch Repairs
Our parish is raising $28,000 to repair the concrete sidewalks around the church, along with the entrance ramp and rear porch. We have already received $2,500 toward this goal. Over the years, the walkways have cracked and worn, and these repairs will make our grounds safer and more welcoming for everyone who comes to worship, from our smallest children to our oldest parishioners.
This is a capital investment drive, and gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are grateful for any gift, large or small. To contribute, please give through our
Online Giving portal and select "Building Fund" from the drop-down menu. For more information, please speak with parish council president Jacob C.
